The Local Authorities (Goods and Services) (Public Bodies) (No. 2) Order 2000
Citation, commencement and extent1.

This Order may be cited as the Local Authorities (Goods and Services) (Public Bodies) (No. 2) Order 2000 and shall come into force on 8th May 2000.

Designation as a public body2.
Each of the bodies named in column (1) of the Schedule to this Order, being a person appearing to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions to be exercising functions of a public nature, shall be a public body for the purposes of the Local Authorities (Goods and Services) Act 1970.
Restrictions on agreements3.
Agreements which may be entered into by virtue of this Order by any of the bodies named in column (1) of the Schedule to this Order shall be restricted to agreements with the authority named in relation to that body in column (2) of the Schedule.

SCHEDULE
Article 2 of this Order designates the bodies listed in column (1) of the Schedule to the Order as public bodies under section 1(5) of the Local Authorities (Goods and Services) Act 1970.
The effect of designation is to allow all local authorities within the meaning of section 1(4) of the 1970 Act to provide goods and services to the designated public bodies by way of an agreement for the purposes prescribed in section 1(1) of the Local Authorities (Goods and Services) Act 1970.
By virtue of article 3, the bodies designated by this Order are restricted to making agreements with the London Borough of Harrow only.
