The United Nations (Sanctions) (Amendment) Order 2000

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the United Nations (Sanctions) (Amendment) Order 2000 and shall come into force on 11th May 2000.

(2) This Order shall, to the extent that it makes provision in relation to any Order of Her Majesty in Council in force in each of the Channel Islands, in the Isle of Man or in any territory specified in Schedule 1 to this Order, have effect as part of the law of that one of the Channel Islands, or as part of the law of the Isle of Man or of that territory.

2.  The Orders listed in Schedule 2 are amended by inserting:

(a)after the word “licence” wherever it appears, and after the word “permission” wherever it appears, the words “in writing”; and

(b)before the words “or a British protected person” wherever they appear, the words “, a British National (Overseas)” except where those words already appear in the relevant sub-paragraph.

3.  The Orders listed in Schedule 3 are amended as specified in that Schedule.
