These Regulations amend the Seed Potatoes Regulations 1991, S.I. 1991/2206, as amended by S.I. 1992/1031, 1993/1878, 1994/2592 and 1997/1474 (the 1991 Regulations) in so far as they extend to England. Similar Regulations to amend the 1991 Regulations in so far as they extend to Wales and Northern Ireland are being considered by the competent authorities in Wales and Northern Ireland and in Scotland new Regulations to replace the 1991 Regulations as respects Scotland have recently been made (S.S.I. 2000/201).
