Recovery of rates in respect of vessels10
In addition to the remedy given by section 44 of the Act of 1847 as incorporated with this Order (recovery of rates in respect of vessels by distraint and sale of the vessel and its tackle), and whether or not the collector of rates has gone on board the vessel and demanded any rates which the master of the vessel has neglected or refused to pay, the City Council or other duly authorised officer or manager may recover such rates as a debt in any court of competent jurisdiction.
