Amendments to the Minced Meat and Meat Preparations (Hygiene) Regulations 19955

Insofar as they extend to England, the Minced Meat and Meat Preparations (Hygiene) Regulations 199512 shall be amended in accordance with the following paragraphs of this regulation.

At the end of Schedule 4 (conditions for the production of minced meat) there shall be inserted the following paragraph—

Fresh meat such as is referred to in any of sub-paragraphs (e) to (i) of paragraph (3) of regulation 13 of the Fresh Meat Regulations shall not be used for the production of minced meat.

After paragraph 2 of Schedule 5 (conditions for the production of meat preparations) there shall be inserted the following paragraph—

The following shall not be used for the production of meat preparations which are to be consigned to a relevant EEA State—

a

fresh meat such as is referred to in any of sub-paragraphs (e) to (i) of paragraph (3) of regulation 13 of the Fresh Meat Regulations; and

b

meat referred to in paragraph 6 of Schedule 11 to the Poultry Meat Regulations.
