The Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty in Council.

Her Majesty, in pursuance of section 4(2) and section 5(9) of the Parliamentary Commissioner Act 19671 (“the Act”), is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:–

This Order may be cited as the Parliamentary Commissioner Order 2000 and shall come Into force on 13th April 2000.

Schedule 2 to the Act2 shall be amended by the insertion in the appropriate place in alphabetical order of the entry “Disability Rights Commission”.

Schedule 4 to the Act3 shall be amended by the deletion of the entries “tribunals constituted in Great Britain under regulations made under section 4 of the Vaccine Damage Payments Act 1979”, “social security appeal tribunals constituted under section 41 of the Social Security Administration Act 1992” and “disability appeal tribunals constituted under section 43 of that Act”.

This Order amends Schedule 2 to the Parliamentary Commissioner Act 1967 by adding the Disability Rights Commission to the list of bodies which are subject to investigation by the Parliamentary Commissioner for Administration.

This Order also amends Schedule 4 to the 1967 Act by deleting the references to tribunals constituted in Great Britain under regulations made under section 4 of the Vaccine Damage Payments Act 1979, social security appeal tribunals constituted under section 41 of the Social Security Administration Act 1992 and disability appeal tribunals constituted under section 43 of that Act.
