The existing wards of the parish of Alton shall be abolished.

The parish shall be divided into seven parish wards which shall bear the names Alton Amery, Alton Ashdell, Alton Eastbrooke, Alton Westbrooke, Alton Whitedown, Alton Wooteys and Alton Holybourne.

The parish wards of Alton Amery, Alton Ashdell, Alton Eastbrooke, Alton Westbrooke, Alton Whitedown and Alton Wooteys shall each comprise the area of the district ward of the same name, and the Alton Holybourne parish ward shall consist of the rest of the parish.

One councillor shall be elected for the Alton Holybourne parish ward and two councillors shall be elected for each of the other parish wards.
