58.—(1) Under the law of England and Wales [F2or Northern Ireland] an open-ended investment company may, [F3by instrument executed as a deed], empower any person, either generally or in respect of any specified matters, as its attorney, to execute deeds on its behalf F4....
(2) A deed executed by such an attorney on behalf of the company [F5has effect as if executed by the company.]
