The National Treatment Agency Regulations 2001

Citation, commencement, interpretation and extent

1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the National Treatment Agency Regulations 2001 and shall come into force on 1st April 2001.

(2) In these Regulations—

“the Act” means the National Health Service Act 1997;

“the Agency” means the National Treatment Agency established by the Order;

“the chairman” means the chairman of the Agency;

“health service body” shall be construed in accordance with section 4 of the National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990(1);

“member” means a member of the Agency other than the chairman;

“the Order” means the National Treatment Agency (Establishment and Constitution) Order 2001(2).

(3) In these Regulations, unless the context othewise requires, any reference to a numbered regulation is a reference to the regulation bearing that number in these Regulations, and any reference in a regulation to a numbered paragraph is a reference to the paragraph bearing that number in that regulation.

(4) These Regulations extend to England only.
