22. In regulation 132(2)—
(a)in sub-paragraph (a), after “local government elections” insert “or at elections for the National Assembly for Wales”; and
(b)in sub-paragraph (b) for “employment in the duties of a returning officer at an Assembly election which are required by regulations made under paragraph 2 to Schedule 1 to the European Assembly Elections Act 1978(1) to be discharged by an acting returning officer” substitute “as a regional or local returning officer at a European Parliamentary election”.
