Appointment of committees and sub-committees

7.—(1) Subject to such directions as may be given by the Secretary of State, the Commission may, and, if so directed by him, shall, appoint committees of the Commission consisting wholly or partly of members of the Commission or wholly of persons who are not members of the Commission.

(2) A committee appointed under this regulation may, subject to such directions as may be given by the Secretary of State or the Commission, appoint sub-committees consisting wholly or partly of members of the committee (whether or not they are members of the Commission) or wholly of persons who are not members of the Commission or the committee.

(3) Regulations 3 (other than paragraph (1)(e) to (g), (i) and (j)) and 4 apply to the appointment of members of committees and sub-committees appointed under this regulation as they apply to the appointment of members of the Commission.
