Citation, commencement and interpretation1

This Order may be cited as the Nursing and Midwifery Order 2001 (Transitional Provisions) Order 2002 and shall come into force—

a

for the purposes of article 2(a)(ii), on the date specified for the coming into force of article 27(a) of the Nursing and Midwifery Order 2001;

b

for the purposes of article 2(c), on the date specified for the coming into force of article 36 of the Nursing and Midwifery Order 2001;

c

for the purposes of the remaining provisions, on 1st April 2002.

In this Order—

  • “Council” means the Nursing and Midwifery Council established by article 3 of the Nursing and Midwifery Order 2001; and

  • “the Order” means the Nursing and Midwifery Order 2001.
