This order provides for the coming into force on 25th March 2002 of the following provisions of the Care Standards Act 2000 (C. 14)—section 54(2);sections 62, 63, 66 and 71, in so far as they relate to the General Social Care Council and are not already in force;section 67 (in part) in so far as it relates to functions conferred on the Secretary of State;section 55 (interpretation) in so far as relevant to the above provisions;section 113(1), (3) and (4) in so far as it relates to the default powers of the Secretary of State over the General Social Care Council.
