Council Tax (Deductions from Income Support) Regulations 1993 (S.I. 1993/494)
23. In regulation 1(2) of the Council Tax (Deductions from Income Support) Regulations 1993(1) (interpretation), in the definition of “social security office”, for the words from “Department of Social Security” to the end there is substituted “Department for Work and Pensions which is open to the public for the receipt of claims for income support or a jobseeker’s allowance.”.

The definition of “social security office” was amended by the Social Security (Jobseeker’s Allowance Consequential Amendments) (Deductions) Regulations 1996 (S.I. 1996/2344) reg. 17.
