1.—(1) These Rules may be cited as the Magistrates' Courts (Special Measures Directions) Rules 2002 and shall come into force on 24th July 2002.
(2) In these Rules—
“the Act” means the Youth Justice and Criminal Evidence Act 1999;
“court” means a magistrates' court, whether a youth court or not.
