The Income-Related Benefits (Subsidy to Authorities) Amendment Order 2002

Amendment of Schedule 5

5.  In paragraph 1(2) of Schedule 5 to the principal Order (benefit savings threshold)(1), for the year commencing on 1st April 2001—

(a) for the definition of “F” there shall be substituted:

• “F is—

  (a)

  where an authority identified in column (1) of Schedule 1 is operating the weekly benefit savings scheme and that authority—

  (i)

  has not been certified by the Secretary of State as having complied with the verification framework in the relevant year, the sum specified in column (6a) of Schedule 1; or

  (ii)

  has been certified by the Secretary of State as having complied with the verification framework in the relevant year, the sum specified in column (6b) of Schedule 1; or

  (b)

  where an authority identified in column (1) of Schedule 1 is operating the new incentive scheme, the sum specified in column (6c) of Schedule 1;”;

(b) after the definition of “intervention”, there shall be inserted:

• ““new incentive scheme” means the scheme set out in the following circulars issued by the Secretary of State(2)—

  • HB/CTB F12/2000; and

  • HB/CTB F19/2001;”;

(c) after the definition of “verification framework”, there shall be inserted:

• ““weekly benefit savings scheme” means the scheme set out in the following circulars issued by the Secretary of State(3)—

  • HB/CTB F17/1998; and

  • HB/CTB F13/2000.”.
