(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order applies to the whole of the Borough of Chelmsford with the exception of the following roads:

(a)

the A12 road for the whole of its length within the Borough of Chelmsford;

(b)

the A130 road from its junction with the A12 road to its junction with the A132 road;

(c)

the route of the proposed extension of the A130 road from its junction with the A132 road to the borough boundary;

(d)

the A414 road from its junction with the A12 road to its junction with the London Road; and

(e)

the A1114 road from its junction with the A12 road to its junction with the A138 road at the Chelmer Road.

The Order designates the Borough of Chelmsford as both a permitted parking area and a special parking area in accordance with Schedule 3 to the Road Traffic Act 1991. It also applies with modifications various provisions of Part II of that Act to the designated area and modifies the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 in relation to the designated area.
