26.—(1) A person who in the course of marketing of any standard seed affixes a label or prints or stamps any particulars, or causes any of those things to be done, in accordance with regulation 25(8), (9) or (10), shall maintain and keep available for inspection by an authorised officer a record of the dates on which and of the packages on which such each label was affixed or particulars printed or stamped and shall, if required by the Secretary of State, furnish her with a copy of such record.
(2) A person to whom paragraph (1) applies shall keep and retain for a period of at least three years a record of the seed lots of standard seed marketed by him and, if so required by the Secretary of State, shall produce such record to her.
(3) A person to whom paragraph (1) applies shall keep and retain for a period of at least two years a sample of the seed lots of standard seed marketed by him of at least the appropriate minimum weight specified in Schedule 7 and, if so required by the Secretary of State, shall deliver any such sample to her.
