These Regulations may be cited as the Occupational Pension Schemes (Winding Up Notices and Reports etc.) Regulations 2002 and come into force on 1st April 2002.

In these Regulations—

“the 1993 Act” means the Pension Schemes Act 1993,

“the 1995 Act” means the Pensions Act 1995,

“member”, “deferred member” and “pensioner member” have the meanings given in section 124(1) of the 1995 Act M1, subject to the provision made by regulations 6(3) and 11(3), and

“small self-administered scheme” has the meaning given in regulation 2(1) of the Retirement Benefits Schemes (Restriction on Discretion to Approve) (Small Self-administered Schemes) Regulations 1991 M2.
