The A58 Trunk Road (Halifax to M62 Motorway, Chain Bar) (Detrunking) Order 2002
1.
This Order may be cited as the A58 Trunk Road (Halifax to M62 Motorway, Chain Bar) (Detrunking) Order 2002 and shall come into force on Monday 28th January 2002.

In this Order—
(i)
“the plan” means the plan numbered HA 10/PS/227 and marked “The A58 Trunk Road (Halifax to M62 Motorway, Chain Bar) (Detrunking) Order 2002, signed by authority of the Secretary of State for Transport, Local Government and the Regions and deposited at the Department for Transport, Local Government and the Regions, Records Management Branch, Ashdowne House, 123 Victoria Street, London SW1 6DE;
(ii)
“principal road” as a classification for a highway means that the highway is a principal road for the purposes of enactments and instruments which refer to highways classified as principal roads and is also classified for the purpose of every other enactment and instrument which refers to highways classified by the Secretary of State; and
(iii)
“the trunk road” means the A58 Trunk Road.
3.
The length of the trunk road described in the schedule to this Order shall cease to be trunk road and shall be classified as a principal road from the date on which this Order comes into force.

SCHEDULELENGTH OF TRUNK ROAD CEASING TO BE TRUNK ROAD
The length of the trunk road ceasing to be trunk road is shown by broad black dashes on the plan and is situated between a point where the A58 Trunk Road crosses the Red Beck Stream (Grid Reference SE116 257) (marked “A” on the plan) and the junction with the M62 roundabout at Chain Bar (Grid Reference SE418 000, 426 600) (marked “B” on the plan) a distance of approximately 8.41km.
