The Primary Care Trusts (Dissolutions) Order 2003

Coming into force

The Secretary of State for Health, in the exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 16A(1) and 126(3) and (4) of the National Health Service Act 19771 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement1

This Order may be cited as Primary Care Trusts (Dissolutions) Order 2003 and shall come into force on 1st April 2003.

Dissolution of Primary Care Trusts2

Each of the Primary Care Trusts established by the Primary Care Trust Establishment Orders listed in paragraph (2) is dissolved and accordingly their Establishment Orders are revoked.

The Primary Care Trust Establishment Orders referred to in paragraph (1) are—

a

The Chingford, Wanstead and Woodford Primary Care Trust (Establishment) Order 20012;

b

The Redbridge Primary Care Trust (Establishment) Order 20013, and

c

The Walthamstow, Leyton and Leytonstone Primary Care Trust (Establishment) Order 20014.

This Order dissolves on 1st April 2003 the Chingford, Wanstead and Woodford Primary Care Trust, the Redbridge Primary Care Trust and the Walthamstow, Leyton and Leytonstone Primary Care Trust and revokes their respective Establishment Orders. A new Redbridge Primary Care Trust is created by virtue of the Redbridge Primary Care Trust (Establishment) Order 2003.
