The Secretary of State for Transport makes this Order in exercise of powers conferred by section 10 of the Highways Act 19801 and now vested in him2, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf:β€”

This Order may be cited as the A1 Trunk Road (Denwick Interchange Slip Roads) Order 2003 and shall come into force on 28th August 2003.

In this Order, all measurements of distance are measured along the routes of the relevant highways.

The lengths of highways described in the Schedule to this Order shall become trunk roads from the date when this Order comes into force.

The centre line of each of the new trunk roads is indicated by a heavy black line on the plan numbered HA 10/MP/001 marked β€œThe A1 Trunk Road (Denwick Interchange Slip Roads) Order 2003”, signed by authority of the Secretary of State for Transport and deposited at the ODPM-DfT Records Management Branch, Floor 13 (IMD), Ashdown House, St Leonards on Sea, Hastings, East Sussex TN37 7GA.

SCHEDULELENGTHS OF EXISTING HIGHWAYS BECOMING TRUNK ROADS

The lengths of highways becoming trunk roads are:β€”

A1 northbound exit slip road from its junction with the A1 Trunk Road to its junction with the B1340 near Denwick in the County of Northumberland, a distance of 300 metres;

2

A1 northbound entry slip road from its junction with the A1 Trunk Road to its junction with the B1340 near Denwick in the County of Northumberland, a distance of 250 metres.
