Explanatory Note

This Order applies to the whole of the Borough of Christchurch with the exception of the A338 Bournemouth Spur Road for its entire length in the borough including its on and off slip roads.
The Order designates the Borough of Christchurch as both a permitted parking area and a special parking area in accordance with Schedule 3 to the Road Traffic Act 1991. It also applies with modifications various provisions of Part II of that Act to the designated area and modifies the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 in relation to the designated area.
