20.—(1) The Health Professions Order is amended in accordance with this regulation.

(2) In Schedule 3 (interpretation)—

(a)for the definition of “EEA Agreement”, substitute—

EEA Agreement” means the Agreement on the European Economic Area signed at Oporto on 2 May 1992 as adjusted by the Protocol signed at Brussels on 17 March 1993 and as amended by Decisions of the EEA Joint Committee Nos. 25/94 of 2 December 1994, 22/97 of 30 April 1997, 6/98 of 30 January 1998, 87/2000 of 27 October 2000 and 84/2002 of 25 June 2002 M1;;

(b)in the definition of—

(i)“EEA State”, after “Agreement”, add “ or Switzerland ”,

(ii)“national”, after “Treaties”, add “ but does not include a person who by virtue of Article 2 of Protocol No. 3 (Channel Islands and Isle of Man) to the Treaty of Accession is not to benefit from Community provisions relating to the free movement of persons and services ”.
