Her Majesty, in exercise of the power conferred on Her by paragraph 3A of Schedule 1 to the Public Records Act 1958(1), is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is ordered, as follows:
1. This Order may be cited as the Public Records (Designation of Bodies) Order 2003 and shall come into force on 1st April 2003.
2. In Schedule 1 to the Public Records Act 1958 (definition of public records), in Part II of the Table at the end of paragraph 3, at the appropriate alphabetical place insert—
“British Council.”
“Disability Rights Commission.”
“The Simpler Trade Procedures Board.”.

(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order amends Part II of the Table at the end of paragraph 3 of Schedule 1 to the Public Records Act 1958 by adding entries for—
(i)the British Council;
(ii)the Disability Rights Commission; and
(iii)The Simpler Trade Procedures Board.
The administrative and departmental records of each of these bodies thereby become public records.
