Subject to paragraph (2), where a member of a police force joined or rejoined that force having been employed by F3NCA as a F4specified NCA officer and having left F3NCA, then for the purposes of regulation 24, service in any F3NCA grade shall be treated as if it were service in the corresponding rank in the police force the member joined or rejoined.

In this regulation, any reference to a F5NCA grade corresponding to a rank in a police force is a reference to a grade of an employee of F5NCA designated by the Secretary of State for the purposes of this regulation as the F5NCA grade corresponding to the rank in question.
