In relation to a person performing part-time service in the rank of inspector or chief inspector pursuant to an appointment in the rank in question made under regulation 8A of the Police Regulations 1987 M1 before 1st September 1994, these Regulations, and any determination made thereunder, shall have effect as if, for all purposes except that of determining pay, the appointment had been in a rank lower than inspector.
