2. In the Motor Vehicles (Type Approval for Goods Vehicles) (Great Britain) Regulations 1982(1), in regulation 4 (application of type approval requirements) after paragraph (14) there shall be inserted—
“(15) A vehicle or vehicle part shall be regarded as complying with the type approval requirements prescribed by paragraph (1)(b) if in relation to each applicable subject matter mentioned in Part I of Schedule 1 there is produced to the Secretary of State evidence which satisfies him that the vehicle or part, as appropriate, has been found by a competent authority in another EEA State to comply with requirements applicable to the vehicle or part, as appropriate, which are equivalent to those prescribed in relation to the subject matter.”.
