Amendment of the principal regulations

3.  The principal regulations are amended by:

(a) inserting, after the definition of “single market directive information” in regulation 2—

• ““the third life insurance directive” and “the third non-life insurance directive” each has the meaning given to it by paragraph 3 of Schedule 3 to the Act;”;

(b) inserting, after regulation 9(2)—

“(2A) The references in paragraph (2) to the provisions mentioned in sub-paragraphs (a), (c), (d) and (e) are to those provisions as replaced by Directive 2000/64/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 November 2000;”.
