The State Pension Credit Act 2002 (Commencement No. 3) Order 2003

The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 22(3) of the State Pension Credit Act 2002(1), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation

1.  This Order may be cited as the State Pension Credit Act 2002 (Commencement No. 3) Order 2003.

Appointed day

2.  The day appointed for the coming into force of section 14 of the State Pension Credit Act 2002 in so far as it relates to paragraph 3 of Schedule 2 to that Act is 27th January 2003 for the purpose only of exercising any power to make regulations.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order appoints 27th January 2003 as the day for the coming into force of section 14 of the State Pension Credit Act 2002 insofar as it relates to paragraph 3 of Schedule 2 to that Act (consequential amendments affecting housing benefit and council tax benefit) for the purpose of making regulations.

This Order does not impose any costs on business.

The following provisions of the State Pension Credit Act 2002 have been brought into force by the State Pension Credit Act 2002 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2002 (S.I. 2002/1691 (C.51)) and by the State Pension Credit Act 2002 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2002 (S.I. 2002/2248 (C.72)). Only section 18 has been brought fully into force; the other provisions have been brought into force partially for the purpose only of exercising any power to make regulations or orders.
