3. The 1971 Act shall apply to any pension payable in accordance with regulations under section 7 of the Superannuation Act 1972(1) in respect of service as an employee of the Valuation Tribunal Service established under section 105 of the Local Government Act 2003(2), as if it were a pension specified in Part II of Schedule 2 to the 1971 Act.
