These Regulations may be cited as the Police (Complaints and Misconduct) Regulations 2004 and shall come into force on 1st April 2004.

In these Regulations—

• “the 2002 Act” means the Police Reform Act 2002;

• “bank holiday” means a day which is a bank holiday under the Banking and Financial Dealings Act 19714 in England and Wales.

• “the Commission” means the Independent Police Complaints Commission;

• “working day” means any day other than a Saturday or Sunday or a day which is a bank holiday or public holiday in England and Wales.
