Citation, commencement, extent and revocation1

These Regulations may be cited as the Ministry of Defence Police (Conduct) Regulations 2004.

These Regulations come into force on 1st April 2004, but do not apply in relation to conduct which occurred or began before that date.

In any case where the date on which a person’s conduct occurred or began is not apparent, it is to be assumed for the purposes of paragraph (2) that the conduct began on or after the date mentioned in paragraph (2) unless he shows that it began or occurred before that date.

These Regulations extend to England and Wales and Scotland.

The Ministry of Defence Police (Representation at Disciplinary Proceedings) Regulations 19882 are hereby revoked.
