If the member concerned has stated under regulation 32(3) that a meeting is required, the reviewing officer must hold a meeting with the member.

Where such a meeting is held, the member concerned—
a
may be accompanied by a member of the force, and
b
in a case where the punishment of dismissal, requirement to resign or reduction in rank has been imposed, may be represented by counsel or a solicitor.
