Investigating officer’s report9

At the end of his investigation the investigating officer must submit a written report on the case to the supervising officer.

If at any time during his investigation it appears to the investigating officer that the case is one in respect of which the conditions specified in regulation 38(2) and (3) are likely to be met he must immediately submit to the supervising officer—
a
a statement that he believes that to be the case and his grounds for doing so, and
b
a written report on the case so far as it has then been investigated.
