PENSIONS
This Order makes further provision for the coming into force of provisions of the Pensions Act 2004 (c. 35) (“the Act”) on the following dates—27th May 2005 for the purpose only of conferring powers to make regulations relating to supplementary provisions about pension protection levies. The provision is brought fully into force on 20th June 2005;27th May 2005 for a provision relating to the dissolution of the Pensions Compensation Board;1st June 2005 for provisions relating to the financial assistance scheme;1st June 2005 for the purpose only of conferring power to make regulations relating to sums which are to be paid or transferred out of the Pension Protection Fund. The provision is brought fully into force on 30th June 2005;20th June 2005 for other provisions relating to the Pension Protection Fund and pension protection levies; andthe day after the day on which the first regulations are made under section 286 of the Act (financial assistance scheme) for section 168 of the Act (administration of compensation) as modified by regulations made under section 286(3)(j) of the Act.
