at the beginning of subsection (1), insert “Subject to subsection (1A),”; and
b
after subsection (1), insert—

The Board may hold any grant received in accordance with regulation 5(3) of the Financial Assistance Scheme Regulations 2005 (scheme manager) in an interest-bearing account but may not otherwise invest any such grant.
