1.—(1) Amend the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Regulated Activities) Order 2001(1) as follows.
(2) In article 3(1), in the definition of “close relative”, after “spouse” (in each place) insert “or civil partner”.
(3) In article 61(4)(c)(i), after “spouse” insert “or civil partner”.
(4) In article 71(2)(b), after “widowers,” insert “civil partners, surviving civil partners,”.
(5) In paragraph 2 of Part 2 of Schedule 1, after “marriage” insert “or the formation of a civil partnership”.
2. In article 2(1) of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Promotion of Collective Investment Schemes) (Exemptions) Order 2001(2), in the definition of “close relative”, after “spouse” (in each place) insert “or civil partner”.
3. In paragraph 8(2)(b) of the Schedule to the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Collective Investment Schemes) Order 2001(3), after “widowers,” insert “civil partners, surviving civil partners,”.
4. In paragraph 41(3)(b)(ii) of the Schedule to the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Exemption) Order 2001(4), after “widowers” insert “, civil partners, surviving civil partners,”.
5. In regulation 44(8)(a) of the Open-Ended Investment Companies Regulations 2001(5), after “spouse,” insert “civil partner,”.
