This Order applies to the whole of the borough of Ipswich with the exception of the A14 and to certain contiguous roads. Those roads are parts of the A1214 London Road and Belmont Road in the district of Babergh and parts of Foxhall Road and Arundel Way in the district of Suffolk Coastal.
The Order designates the borough of Ipswich, other than the A14, and other roads to which it applies as both a permitted parking area and a special parking area in accordance with Schedule 3 to the Road Traffic Act 1991. It also applies with modifications various provisions of Part 2 of that Act to the designated area and modifies the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 in relation to the designated area.
