Where notice is given to a local authority in accordance with regulation 24, the functions imposed on the local authority by virtue of regulation 5 shall apply subject to the modifications in paragraph (2).

Paragraph (1) of regulation 5 shall apply as if—
a
in sub-paragraph (a)—
i
in head (i) for the words “relevant foreign authority” there is substituted “CA of the State of origin and competent foreign authority”;
ii
in head (v) there is substituted “the relevant Central Authority”; and
b
sub-paragraphs (b) to (d) were omitted.
