Citation, commencement and interpretation1

These Regulations may be cited as the Occupational Pension Schemes and Pension Protection Fund (Amendment) Regulations 2005 and shall come into force on 1st April 2005 immediately after regulation 2 of the Entry Rules Regulations comes into force.

In these Regulations—

  • “the Act” means the Pensions Act 2004;

  • “the Compensation Regulations” means the Pension Protection Fund (Compensation) Regulations 20054;

  • “the Employer Debt Regulations” means the Occupational Pension Schemes (Employer Debt) Regulations 20055;

  • “the Entry Rules Regulations” means the Pension Protection Fund (Entry Rules) Regulations 20056;

  • “the Multi-employer Regulations” means the Pension Protection Fund (Multi-employer Schemes) (Modification) Regulations 20057;

  • “the Review and Reconsideration Regulations” means the Pension Protection Fund (Review and Reconsideration of Reviewable Matters) Regulations 20058;

  • “the Reviewable Ill Health Pensions Regulations” means the Pension Protection Fund (Reviewable Ill Health Pensions) Regulations 20059; and

  • “the Valuation Regulations” means the Pension Protection Fund (Valuation) Regulations 200510.
