Expressions in the Companies Act 1985

28. Except as otherwise provided expressions that are defined for the purposes of Part 7 of the Companies Act 1985(1) (or in the case of Northern Ireland, Part 8 of the Companies (Northern Ireland) Order 1986(2)) have the same meaning in this Part.

Explanatory Memorandum sets out a brief statement of the purpose of a Statutory Instrument and provides information about its policy objective and policy implications.
