The Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) (Amendment) (England) Order 2006

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order, which applies in England only, amends the Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) Order 1978 (S.I. 1978/32) (“the 1978 Order”) and revokes the Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) (England) Order 2005 (S.I. 2005/1908).

This Order substitutes for the tables in Schedules 1 and 2 to the 1978 Order the tables set out in Schedules 1 and 2 to this Order. Schedule 1 lists disinfectants approved by the Secretary of State and Schedule 2 lists disinfectants which, although no longer approved, may continue to be used as approved disinfectants until 15th September 2006.

This Order was notified in draft to the European Commission in accordance with Directive 98/34/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 22 June 1998 laying down a procedure for the provision of information in the field of technical standards and regulations(1).

A full regulatory impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as it has no impact on the costs of business.
