Citation and commencement

1.  This Order may be cited as the Primary Care Trusts Establishment Orders (Amendment) (England) Order 2006 and shall come into force on 1st October 2006.

Amendment of Primary Care Trust establishment orders

2.  For the contents of the Schedule (area of trust) to each of the Primary Care Trust establishment orders listed in column (1) of the Schedule to this Order there shall be substituted the words in the corresponding entry in column (2).

Revocation

3.  The Southampton East Healthcare Primary Care Trust (Establishment) (Amendment) Order 2002(2) is revoked.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order updates the descriptions of the geographical areas of England for which the Primary Care Trusts listed in the Schedule are established. It reflects changes to local government legislation and ensures that the area for which each Primary Care Trust is established is described by reference to the largest possible local government area. It does not change any of the areas for which the Primary Care Trusts were established.

A full regulatory impact assessment has not been produced for this Order as it has no impact on the costs of business, charities or voluntary bodies.
