1.  The amounts specified in column (2) below in respect of each person or couple specified in column (1) shall be the amounts specified for the purposes of regulations 22(a) and 23(a) and (b)— E+W+S

[F3 1A.   For the purposes of paragraph 1 a claimant is entitled to main phase employment and support allowance if—

(a) each of the conditions in paragraph 21 is satisfied in relation to the claimant personally; or

(b) the claimant personally is entitled to a converted employment and support allowance[F4 , or would be entitled but for the application of section 1A of the Welfare Reform Act (duration of contributory allowance)].]

2.—(1) The amount specified in column (2) below in respect of each person specified in column (1) shall, for the relevant period specified in column (1), be the amounts specified for the purposes of regulations 22(b) and 23(c)— E+W+S

(2) In column (1) of the table in paragraph (1), “the first Monday in September” means the Monday which first occurs in the month of September in any year.
