No requirement to state national insurance numberF137.

Section 13(1A) of the Social Security Administration Act 1992 and section 11(1A) of the Social Security Administration (Northern Ireland) Act 1992 (necessity of application for child benefit: requirement to state national insurance number) do not apply—

(a)

for the purposes of section 147(6) of SSCBA and section 143(6) of SSCB(NI)A, to a claim for child benefit in respect of a child or qualifying young person who is regarded as living with a voluntary organisation by virtue of regulation 36;

(b)

to a claim for child benefit where the person making the claim—

(i)

has not attained the age of 16 at the time of making the claim, and

(ii)

is the biological parent of the child who is the subject of that claim.
