The Electoral Administration Act 2006 (Commencement No. 1 and Transitional Provisions) Order 2006 (S.I. 2006/1972 (C. 67)) provided for the provisions of the Electoral Administration Act 2006 (c. 22) which relate to the regulation of loans to political parties, their members and members associations to commence on 11th September 2006. This Order amends that Order to provide that those provisions will not apply to minor parties, their members and members associations. The reference is to the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000 c. 41; section 160(1) was amended by S.I. 2004/366.
