3.—(1) These Regulations do not apply to a veterinary medicinal product based on radio-active isotopes.
(2) They do not apply in relation to the administration of a product in the course of a procedure licensed under the Animals (Scientific Procedure) Act 1986(1), except that, if the animals used under that licence are to be put into the human food chain, the product must be administered in accordance with an animal test certificate granted under regulation 8(2).
