8.—(1) No person shall vaccinate any zoo bird unless he is required or licensed to do so by the Secretary of State.
(2) Paragraph (1) does not apply to—
(a)anything done under the authority of a licence granted under article 4 of the Specified Animal Pathogens Order 1998(1); or
(b)administration of a vaccine for research purposes in accordance with an animal test certificate granted under regulation 8 of the Veterinary Medicines Regulations 2005(2).
