3.  In this Schedule, “ relevant experience” means experience which has been gained in the United Kingdom and which the Secretary of State is satisfied has been gained— U.K.

(a) in an appropriate deck capacity,

(b) on a suitable vessel, and

(c) on the relevant waters;
